Dear Advocates,
Monday, April 23 is our Senate Phone-In Day. Please call your Senator to request that s/he sign the two “Dear Colleague” letters circulating the Senate.
The first letter is to appropriate $9 million to implement Johanna’s Law: The Gynecologic Cancer Education and Awareness Act. This money is necessary for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to properly implement the law.
The second letter is to appropriate $20 million for ovarian cancer research through the Department of Defense. The Congressionally Directed Research Program includes ovarian, breast and prostate cancer research.
It is important that you make this call on Monday, April 23 and urge your Senator to sign the letters.
